About Me

I am a landscape and seascape photographer from Norfolk, East Anglia, UK.

Most of my images are from the flatlands of Norfolk and the East Anglian region which means coastal and riverside scenes, boats, woodland, and windmills.

I will also have images from places where mountains and waterfalls feature, simply because they are not regular scenes for me.

I occasionally produce some images using intentional camera movement (ICM), multiple exposures, and cityscapes/street too in a conscious effort to be more creative, expand my skills and offer variety.

I am a member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and a member of the Norwich and District Photographic Society (NDPS) and regularly participate in club competitions which motivates me to improve the quality and impact of my images.

Achievements

Some of my images have won club competitions and/or scored maximum marks, and I’ve had images on public display at annual NDPS exhibitions.

In 2023, I gained my first magazine feature, and I'm keen to repeat that achievement, and look towards further recognition in future.

Inspiration

I have been inspired by a lot of professional photographers such as the established "YouTubers" Nigel Danson.

I've enjoyed 121s with pro photographer Chris Sale who has a most thoughful approach to photography, and I've been on workshops with local pro photographer and author of the Photographing East Anglia book Justin Minns.

More recent influences include the work of pro photographer Gill Moon, as I increasingly look to create not just images that are "technically competent" but images with more impact, perhaps leaning into the more artistic arena.

I write regular Blog posts on my photographic excursions and quest to continually improve, which I try to make informative, honest and humourous.

Viewing and purchasing my images

You can view my images via the Gallery or the Collections - the best of my images will appear on Instagram and my Facebook page (links at bottom of this page), and the very best will then eventually make it to my Gallery on this site.
